Keswick la ville- Keswick city

Joli village qui a connu une époque de gloire au moment d'Elizabeth 1ere grace aux mines de cuivre, il est devenu un site touristique dès l'époque victorienne. Et depuis ca ne desemplit pas de marcheurs et autres touristes. Ah et puis aussi Keswick c'est mondialement connu pour ses crayons a papier (mine de graphite)

Cute village which was famous as far as Elizabeth the first thanks to its copper mines, it has become a touristic attraction in the victorian era. Since then it is always full of walkers and other tourists. And Keswick is known around the world for its pencil (graphite mines).

Eh ben non c'est pas un chateau... Mais ça en valait la peine. Minute historique: Ce cercle de pierre est 1000 ans plus vieux que Stonehenge. Et la légende du secteur dit que caque pierre est un homme pétrifié à cause de ses péchés...

Paques 09 -Easter 09

On commence par le début. 4 jours de minivacances a Keswick au milieu du parc des Lacs. Un peu gloomy comme on dit ici (ndt: lugubre), mais bon ça fait bien romantique. Les lacs de montagne quand il fait un temps pourri ça invite a la poésie triste. Mais si ce pauvre Lamartine était né ici, il y a fort a parier qu'il aurait noyé son ennui dans l'alcool d'un pub glauque au lieu d'ecrire un des plus beau morceaux de la literature francaise. Une autre culture.

We start by the beginning. 4 days minibreak in Keswick nestled in the Heart of the Lake district. A little gloomy for a start but really romantic (See French literature for reference and Lamartine is coooool although here he would have finished his life a drunken poor guy in a pub)
