et voila la merveille du dernier WE. La photo n'est pas franchement digne du web (un gros zoom a 300%), mais on en a bavé pour la voir (surtout Fred qui a fait la ligne droite de sentier a ramper dans la bruyère). Voui c'est "The Famous Grouse". Si ça vous fait penser à du whysky, allez consulter ou bien partez faire un voyage initiatique en Ecosse.

Enfin bon bref, c'est une red grouse, une espèce de grosse perdrix a chaussettes blanches, qu'on ne voit que très haut. frooooooiiiiiiid

Ok the pix doesn't really deserve a place on the web (kinda 300% crop ouch), but we sweat for this shot (special hurray for Fred who crawled in the heather sage to avoid frightening the critter). Yeah it is the famous grouse, if you thought about whisky right away , go see your GP or plan a trip in Scotland

En fait un bébé piaf, un bébé rouge-gorge, on est devenus forts en identification de truc à plume (euh non même pas, papa rouge gorge très reconnaissable n'était pas loin)

minute culture: Winnats est une déformation de Wind gates ce qui signifie porte des vents... c'est vrai que c'est plutôt venteux le secteur.
Le Peak District est une région géologiquement riche zone d'ancienne mines de métaux, le vrai coeur de la révolution industrielle, on a du mal a y croire vu d'ici.

The Peak district is a very rich geologically speaking, source of metals and interesting minerals, maybe the very heart of the industrial revolution.

Peak district

Premier contact avec la nature sauvage, enfin presque, car comme dans tous les endroits connus il y a toujours pléthore de braillards, jeteurs de papiers gras, buveurs de coka ou de bière (ça dépend des pays). Mais on reussit parfois a les semer comme ci-dessus. Les prochains posts seront essentiellement méditation autour de cet arbre, le seul de Winnats Pass, la preuve chez google:

First encounter with the untouched countryside, almost untouched. Of course there are always plenty of indelicate coke or beer drinkers (depending on the country you're in) in these famous sites. But sometimes, we loose them. Next few images posted here will be around this specific tree, the only one in the area , see google link above

après un long silence - Long times no see

après une coupure de presque un an, notre situation professionelle est un peu plus stable et nous permet de reprendre l'exploration des coins et recoins près de chez nous. "près de chez nous" c'est maintenant l'Angleterre (Manchester pour MB et Oxford pour Fred). Donc si le temps le permet nous allons essayer d'ajouter autant de coins de nature et de bestioles rencontrés sur les chemins.

After a year long absence, we are back on track, and in full gear. Our respective workplace are fixed for now, so we are back on the road. On the English roads (MB is in Manchester and Fred in Oxford). So if the beautifull English weather let us enjoy the outdoor, we gonna put as many nature and critters pix as possible on this website.
